Terms of service

Effective October 14, 2026

The short version: the mockup is free. You pay only after you approve your design. Your domain and your content are yours. The care plan is month to month, and if you cancel, we hand over your site files.

These terms apply when you request a mockup from Storefront Web Studio ("we," "us") or hire us to build or maintain a website. By paying for a site or a care plan, you agree to them. If something in your project needs to work differently, we'll put it in writing before you pay.

Free mockups

We design a homepage mockup for your business at no cost. You're under no obligation to buy anything. Until you pay, the mockup design belongs to us, and you may not publish it or have someone else build it.

What you get

• Starter site, $499 one time: one scrolling page with tap to call, directions, hours, services, a map, and a contact form.
• Full site, $899 one time: up to 6 pages, including menu, services, or gallery pages, an online booking or ordering link, and local Google search setup.
• Care plan, $39 per month: hosting, HTTPS, backups, uptime monitoring, help with your Google Business Profile, and up to 30 minutes of edits each month. Unused edit time doesn't roll over.

Before you pay, we confirm by email exactly what your project includes. Anything outside that, such as extra pages, online stores, logo design, or new features, is quoted separately before we start.

Payment

You pay the one-time price after you've approved your design and before we launch the site. Care plan payments are billed monthly, starting the month your site goes live. Prices are in US dollars.

Revisions and timing

We revise the design until you approve it. After approval, changes that fit the agreed scope are included until launch. Launch times, such as "about 7 days," are estimates and depend on how quickly we receive your content and feedback.

Your content

You're responsible for having the rights to anything you give us, such as your logo, photos, and text. Where we supply photos, we use images we're licensed to use.

Who owns what

• Your domain is registered in your name. If you already have one, it stays yours.
• Once your site is paid for, its design and content are yours to use.
• We may show your site in our portfolio. Tell us if you'd rather we didn't.

Cancelling the care plan

You can cancel at any time by email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you've paid for, and there are no cancellation fees. When you cancel, we send you your site files so you can host them anywhere. If a care plan payment is more than 14 days late, we may take the site offline until it's paid.

Refunds

Because you only pay after approving your design, one-time payments aren't refundable once your site is live. If we can't deliver the site we agreed on, we'll refund what you paid for it. Care plan months already paid aren't refunded.

Limits

We work hard to keep your site online and working, but we can't guarantee it will never be down, or that it will reach a specific position in Google search. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. Changes don't affect a project already agreed in writing.
